- Bulgaria parliament approves Rumen Radev as new Prime Minister:Bulgaria's parliament today formally approved Rumen Radev as the new prime minister in a bid to end political instability and spur economic development in the EU member country. The chamber voted 124-70 with 36 abstentions to elect Radev, a 62-year-old former president, as prime minister.

- India’s forex reserves fall by $7.7 billion to $690 billion: RBI-India’s foreign exchange reserves declined by 7.7 billion US dollars, standing at 690 billion US dollars for the week ending May 1. - Artemis II Distance Record: NASA’s Artemis II mission, which is travelling around the far side of the moon, has set a new record for the farthest distance humans have traveled from Earth. The Orion spacecraft, carrying four astronauts, reached about 252,752 miles from Earth during a flyby of the Moon’s far side, surpassing the Apollo 13 record of 248,655 miles set in 1970. The milestone was achieved yesterday at 11:27 PM India Standard Time.
- Minister Dr S. Jaishankar and his counterpart of Saint Kitts and Nevis, Dr Denzil L. Douglas, today inaugurated the high commission of Saint Kitts and Nevis in New Delhi.Saint Kitts and Nevis is a dual-island sovereign nation in the West Indies' Leeward Islands, representing the smallest state in the Americas at 261 km sqr and roughly 48,000 inhabitants. The capital is Basseterre, located on Saint Kitts.
- India dispatches consignment of 250 Metric Tonnes of foodgrains to Seychelles:India has dispatched a consignment of 250 Metric Tonnes of foodgrains to Seychelles today. In a social media post, the External Affairs Ministry said that more consignments are to follow under the 175 million dollars Special Economic Package committed to Seychelles.The Seychelles is an archipelago of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean, off East Africa. It's home to numerous beaches, coral reefs and nature reserves, as well as rare animals such as giant Aldabra tortoises. Mahé, a hub for visiting the other islands, is home to capital Victoria.
- Vietnam's Communist Party's Secretary General To Lam, was unanimously elected by parliament as the country's president for a five-year term. The parliament said that all 495 deputies present today National Assembly session endorsed the Communist Party's nomination.

- US starts ‘unfair trade’ probe against India, 15 others:The US will launch a trade investigation into alleged unfair manufacturing practices by India and 15 other major economies, the office of the US Trade Representative announced on Wednesday — the latest move by the Trump administration to rebuild tariff pressure after the Supreme Court struck down the centrepiece of its global trade agenda last month.The 16 economies named are China, the European Union, Singapore, Switzerland, Norway, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand, South Korea, Vietnam, Taiwan, Bangladesh, Mexico, Japan and India.
