- J&K recognised as “High Performer” in LEADS 2025 Report:The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has been recognised as a “High Performer” in the prestigious Logistics Ease Across Different States (LEADS) 2025 Report, released by Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal in New Delhi yesterday
- MoS for Defence Sanjay Seth addresses inaugural session of Kalam and Kavach, describes Operation Sindoor as landmark success.
- The Election Commission of India has announced the Special Intensive Revision, SIR Phase-III, which will be conducted in a phased manner across sixteen states and three Union Territories.
- The states included in this phase are Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Punjab, Sikkim, Tripura, Telangana, and Uttarakhand. The Union Territories covered are the National Capital Territory of Delhi, Chandigarh, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu.
- In Keralam, Senior Congress leader V. D. Satheesan met Governor Rajendra Viswanath Arlekar this evening and formally staked his claim to form the government. Earlier, the Congress Legislative Party met this evening at Thiruvananthapuram and elected V. D. Satheesan as its leader.

- PM Modi to embark on a five-nation tour, beginning tomorrow:Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a six-day visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, and Italy tomorrow. On the first leg of his five-nation visit, Mr Modi will reach the UAE tomorrow, where he will meet the President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

According to an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet gave its nod for the extension

- The Wholesale Price Index (WPI) measures the average change in the prices of goods traded in bulk by wholesale businesses.
- Special Intensive Revision or the SIR is an exercise undertaken by the Election Commission of India to verify and revise electoral rolls through house to house enumeration, pre-filled forms, and verification of old voter data.The SIR aims to ensure that electoral rolls across India are accurate, by eliminating the names of deceased, permanently shifted, duplicate & non-citizen voters, while ensuring that eligible citizens are not left out.The nationwide SIR process was announced on 27 October 2025 by the Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar from Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
