- Nirbhay Chetna :The Ministry of Panchayati Raj organised a three-day Training of Trainers (ToT) programme on Nirbhay Chetna under the Nirbhaya Fund project in New Delhi. The Ministry also launched the Nirbhay Chetna training module during the program.The Ministry said that Nirbhay Chetna is a national initiative on the sensitisation of men towards women-related issues, including women’s safety and security, that aims to strengthen gender-responsive governance at the grassroots level.
- India Becomes World's Second-Largest Fish Producer-India is the world's second-largest aquatic animal producer, contributing 9% to global output. According to the FAO's State of World Fisheries and Aquaculture report, India ranks first in inland water catches and is the second-largest aquaculture producer, supplying 12% of the world's farmed aquatic animals.Overall Position: 2nd largest global producer of fish and aquatic animals, trailing only China.
- The first batch of pilgrims undertaking the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2026 crossed into China through the Nathu La Pass today, marking the commencement of their onwards journey.

- India-Russia RELOS Agreement:The Reciprocal Exchange of Logistics Agreement (RELOS) between India and Russia became operational in 2026.Key Features:
- Allows reciprocal access to military facilities for logistics support.
- Covers fuel, supplies, maintenance, and repair services.Does not permit permanent stationing of troops.
