  • Gems of India Challenge Launched for Digital Creators:The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting launched the Gems of India Challenge to encourage digital creators to showcase India's cultural heritage, achievements and diversity through innovative digital content.The Gems of India Challenge is a national campaign by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. It invites citizens and digital creators to make a 1 to 3-minute video about their home district. You can win up to ₹5 Lakh in cash prizes. The submission window for the pilot phase runs from August 1 to August 31, 2026

  • President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Bucharest, Romania, on 23 July 2026, marking the final leg of her three-nation European state visit.The visit followed her engagements in Moldova and North Macedonia.It was the first visit by an Indian President to Romania in more than three decades.
