- Jodhpuri Mojari Receives GI Tag:The Centre granted a Geographical Indication (GI) tag to the traditional Jodhpuri Mojari craft of Rajasthan.Jodhpuri Mojari is a nearly 200-year-old handcrafted leather footwear tradition associated with Jodhpur. The craft has historically been associated with the Jinagar/Jingar community.
- Bharat Tex 2026 begins at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi:India's largest global textile event, Bharat Tex 2026, began at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi today. Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh today inaugurated the event.
- DRASHTI (Digital Remote Auditing System for Transparency & Insights):The audit process for panchayats in Madhya Pradesh is now going fully digital. The state government has launched the DRASHTI (Digital Remote Auditing System for Transparency & Insights) for this. This is a unique initiative in the country, aimed at fully digital, remote financial audits of panchayats. Through this platform, auditors can view and check the income and expenditure records of any panchayat from their own home or office.
- Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has flagged off the 13-day Shaurya Vijay Yatra, a commemorative motorcycle expedition from the National War Memorial, New Delhi to Kargil War Memorial in Drass, Ladakh.28 riders covered 1,900 km to honor India's 1999 Kargil War heroes ahead of Kargil Vijay Diwas on July 26.
