• The government has said that over 104 crore health records have been linked to over 93 crore Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) accounts. This marks a significant progress in India’s journey towards a connected digital public health ecosystem. ABHA is a 14-digit unique identifier like Aadhaar that securely links individuals to the wider health system. It helps patients access to digital health services. They can connect to insurers, healthcare facilities, doctors, and other services with all their medical history intact through this network.
• 5th foundation day of Ministry of coorporation:The Ministry of Cooperation marks its foundation day on July 6. It was established on July 6, 2021, to provide a separate legal, administrative, and policy framework for strengthening the cooperative movement in India.Key Details

• The Indian Navy is set to commission its sixth Project 17A indigenous stealth frigate, Mahendragiri (F38), at Visakhapatnam on 11 Jul 2026.Named after the majestic Mahendragiri mountain range in the Eastern Ghats, the frigate embodies resilience, strength, and unwavering resolve. Designed in-house by the Indian Navy’s Warship Design Bureau (WDB) and built by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL), Mumbai, Mahendragiri, the sixth Project 17A stealth frigate, exemplifies India’s growing expertise in indigenous warship design and construction.
• Project 17A (Nilgiri-class) comprises seven advanced, indigenous multi-mission stealth guided-missile frigates built by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders and Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers for the Indian Navy. These 6,600-ton warships feature enhanced radar-absorbent materials, 75% indigenous content, and powerful anti-surface, anti-air, and anti-submarine weapon suites.

• Australia thrash England by 7 wickets to win Women’s T20 World Cup Title:In Cricket, Australia defeated England by 7 wickets to lift the ICC Women's T20 World Cup at Lord's in London last night. Chasing a target of 151 runs set by England, Australia scored 153 for three in 17.1 overs.

• Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee 125th Birth Anniversary: Observed nationwide on July 6 to honor the visionary leader, academician, and founder of Bharatiya Jana Sangh who advocated for national integration ("One Nation, One Constitution").Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee (July 6, 1901 – June 23, 1953) was an Indian politician, barrister, and academician. He served as India's first Minister for Industry and Supply, became the youngest Vice-Chancellor of Calcutta University at age 33, and founded the Bharatiya Jana Sangh (the precursor to the modern BJP).
• World Zoonoses Day: Celebrated globally on July 6 to raise awareness about zoonotic diseases (infections transmitted from animals to humans) and commemorate Louis Pasteur's successful administration of the first rabies vaccine on July 6, 1885.
• 40th Death Anniversary of Babu Jagjivan Ram-Jagjivan Ram, popularly known as Babuji, was an Indian independence activist and politician who served as a minister with various portfolios for over 30 years, making him the longest-serving Union Cabinet minister in Indian history. He also served as the Deputy Prime Minister of India from January to July 1979.
