• PM-AJAY Portal and AJAY Mobile App launched to strengthen implementation of SC welfare initiatives-Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dr Virendra Kumar today launched the PM-AJAY Portal and AJAY Mobile App to digitize and strengthen the implementation of Scheduled Caste welfare schemes in New Delhi. The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment said that the initiative will expedite and ensure the quality of implementation of Pradhan Mantri Anusuchit Jaati Abhyuday Yojna (PM-AJAY) scheme aimed at transition from paper based workflow and processing towards a fully digital workflow and real-time processing.The PM AJAY Mobile App has been conceptualized and developed as a unified digital platform to transition from paper based workflow such as surveys and village development plans preparation at field level to digital platform.
• Prime Minister Narendra Modi today completed 12 years in office. On this day in 2014, Mr Modi took the oath as Prime Minister.
• The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) has achieved a historic milestone in the financial year 2025-26, recording sales of 1.87 lakh crore rupees. Addressing a press conference in New Delhi today, KVIC Chairman Manoj Kumar said that this milestone has been achieved due to the hard work of millions of rural artisans.
• PM-WANI gets major citizen-friendly upgrade to make public Wi-Fi simpler and more accessible-The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has introduced a series of user-friendly reforms under the Prime Minister’s Wi-Fi Access Network Interface (PM-WANI) framework.The new measures include QR-based authentication for laptops and secondary devices, the introduction of flexible short-duration Wi-Fi plans and the standardisation of PM-WANI hotspot names for easier identification and enhanced reliability.
• A book titled Apnapan: Narendra Modi sang mere anubhav today launched by Former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and Former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda in New Delhi. The book is written by Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
• Rajnath Singh Inaugurates Shirdi Defence Complex: Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the NIBE Group’s private defence manufacturing complex in Shirdi, Maharashtra. During the event, he flagged off India's first 300-km Universal Rocket Launching System, named "Suryastra"

• SEBI explores tokenisation of corporate bonds using blockchain-based technology to improve transparency-Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey today said corporate bonds are not risk-free, even as the market regulator plans major reforms to deepen India’s debt market and improve investor participation. Addressing the CareEdge Debt Market Summit in Mumbai, the SEBI chief said the regulator is exploring a pilot project for tokenisation of corporate bonds using blockchain-based technology to improve settlement efficiency, transparency and accessibility.

• Asian Under-23 Wrestling: Mohit Kumar and Chander Mohan clinch gold medals in Men’s Freestyle event:Indian wrestlers continued their impressive performance at the Asian Under-23 Wrestling Championships in Da Nang, Vietnam today, securing two gold, two silver, and one bronze medal in the men’s freestyle category. In the 65 kilogram category, Mohit Kumar clinched the gold medal .
• Norway Chess 2026: R Praggnanandhaa & D Gukesh win their opening matches -The Norway Chess 2026 started with big action in Oslo. Indian players R Praggnanandhaa and D Gukesh both won their opening matches in Armageddon after draws in classical games.
