  • AYUSH Minister Prataprao Jadhav today launched the Ayush Anudan Portal in New Delhi, aimed at strengthening digital governance and enhancing transparency in the Ayush sector.
  • Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Bhuvan Chandra Khanduri passed away at a private hospital today after a prolonged illness. He was 91. A former Army Major General Khanduri served twice as Uttarakhand Chief Minister and was also Union Road Transport and Highways Minister in the government of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
  • Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) has successfully completed the final deliverable configuration development trials of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Launched Precision Guided Missile (ULPGM)-V3 in Air-to-Ground and Air-to-Air modes at DRDO test range near Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh.

International

  • The Democratic Republic of Congo’s health ministry today said the current outbreak of Ebola, first confirmed on Friday, is caused by the Bundibugyo virus, a rare variant of the Ebola disease that has no approved therapeutics or vaccines.
  • Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda addressed the plenary session of the 79th World Health Assembly (WHA) in Geneva, Switzerland today, reiterating India’s steadfast commitment to equitable, inclusive and people-centric healthcare under the guiding principle of “Health for All.”Addressing the Assembly on the theme, “Reshaping Global Health: A Shared Responsibility,” Shri Nadda underscored India’s comprehensive approach towards strengthening healthcare systems.
  • Sweden has officially joined India's Shukrayaan (Venus Orbiter) mission. The collaboration was formalized through an agreement between the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the Swedish National Space Agency during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's official visit to Gothenburg.
