  • Sixth-Gen Fighter Jet Collaboration: India is reportedly in advanced talks to join Europe’s Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP) or the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) to co-develop sixth-generation fighter aircraft. India is accelerating its efforts to develop sixth-generation fighter jets, aiming to join the elite club of nations with such advanced military aviation technology. The Standing Committee on Defence has urged the Ministry of Defence to formulate a comprehensive roadmap for the development and acquisition of these aircraft, which will feature stealth, artificial intelligence, and advanced weaponry. India is also considering joining international consortia such as the UK-Italy-Japan-led Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP) or the France-Germany-led Future Combat Air System (FCAS) to ensure it remains at the forefront of aerial warfare capabilities.

  • Krishi Sakhi Initiative: In line with the UN declaring 2026 as the International Year of the Woman Farmer, the government expanded the Krishi Sakhi program to train 50,000 more women in sustainable farming.

  • RELIEF Scheme for Exporters: In response to disruptions in West Asia, the government launched the RELIEF (Resilience & Logistics Intervention for Export Facilitation) scheme with a budget of ₹497 crore.
