- SEMICON India 2026 to be held in New Delhi:The fifth edition of SEMICON India will be held from 17–19 September 2026 at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi.Theme:“Silicon to Systems: Building the Ecosystem”.The event is jointly organised by the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), MeitY and SEMI and aims to strengthen India's semiconductor and electronics ecosystem. - India and Belgium strengthen strategic partnership:Prime Minister Narendra Modi held delegation-level talks with Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever in New Delhi on 3 September 2026.The two countries agreed to deepen cooperation in defence, clean energy, critical minerals, semiconductors, start-ups, maritime affairs, education and research. India and Belgium also decided to strengthen the India–Belgium Business Forum and establish an Investment Fast-Track Mechanism for Belgian companies investing in India. The two sides are also working towards a Migration and Mobility Partnership Agreement.
- Türkiye Joins Artemis Accords: Türkiye officially signed the U.S.-led Artemis Accords at NASA headquarters, becoming the 71st signatory nation and the 7th West Asian country committed to peaceful and sustainable civil space exploration

- India's foreign-exchange reserves reach record level:India's foreign-exchange reserves stood at approximately $729.3 billion, after the country attracted around $136.4 billion through special measures and foreign-currency inflows.
- The increased reserves provide the Reserve Bank of India with greater capacity to manage exchange-rate volatility.In June, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) rolled out a series of aggressive incentives to actively pull dollars into the banking system to cushion against global macroeconomic and geopolitical uncertainty (such as the Middle East conflict):

- Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Awards 2024 announced.The awards recognise outstanding achievements by individuals in the field of adventure and seek to promote a spirit of endurance, risk-taking, teamwork and quick and effective decision-making in challenging situations. - Agentic AI Skilling Initiative: The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) teamed up with Intel India to roll out Agentic AI Skilling Programs, targeting training for youth in autonomous, goal-directed AI systems and reasoning models.
- Agentic AI is an artificial intelligence system that can independently plan, make decisions, and execute multi-step actions to achieve a goal with limited human guidance.Unlike traditional chatbots or standard generative AI that simply respond to a single prompt, agentic AI operates in a continuous loop to solve complex tasks.
