- India has stepped up its humanitarian assistance to earthquake-hit Venezuela under Operation Amistad.Operation Amistad is a Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) mission launched by India on June 26, 2026, to provide emergency aid and medical support to Venezuela following devastating twin earthquakes. The word "Amistad" means "friendship" in Spanish, symbolizing solidarity.
