- Cyber Crime Coordination sign MoU with RBI to curtail mule accounts -The Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) today signed an MoU with Reserve Bank Innovation Hub to strengthen collaboration in combating cyber-enabled financial frauds and curtailing mule accounts across the banking and digital payments ecosystem.
- India’s retail inflation rises to 3.48% in April, upward trend for fourth consecutive month -The inflation print was slightly higher from 3.4 per cent recorded in March.According to data released by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, inflation in rural areas edged up to 3.74 per cent, while in urban regions it rose marginally to 3.16 per cent.
- GDP data release date fixed to 7th of June every year:The Government has revised the release date of the Provisional Estimates of Annual Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and Quarterly Estimates of GDP for Fourth Quarter from last working day of May to 7th June of every year. The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation said that the provisional estimates will be released on the previous working day if 7th June is a holiday.
