- Department of Consumer Affairs’ E-Jagriti platform wins National Awards for e-Governance 2026-E-Jagriti platform of Department of Consumer Affairs’ was awarded the Silver Award under Category I-Government Process Re-engineering by Use of Technology for Digital Transformation at the National Awards for e-Governance 2026. Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances presents this award. Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution said that the recognition reaffirms e-Jagriti’s role in transforming consumer grievance redressal through technology-driven, citizen-centric service delivery.
- Telangana women’s safety wing launches ‘Stree Ride’ for women’s safety and mobility-In a major boost to women’s safety and economic independence, the Telangana Women’s Safety Wing has launched ‘Stree Ride,’ a unique initiative introducing an all-women fleet of cabs, autorickshaws, and electric bikes. Officially flagged off by DGP CV Anand yesterday, the program enables female commuters to book rides driven exclusively by women through popular aggregators like Ola, Uber, and Rapido.
- Zorawar Light Tank & TEJASTRA Showcased: India showcased its indigenous Zorawar light tank (a 25-tonne platform designed for high-altitude operations) and the TEJASTRA ammunition systems at Larsen & Toubro's Hazira facility in Gujarat.TEJASTRA is a Directed Energy Weapon (DEW) and High Energy Laser System (HELS) developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Larsen & Toubro (L&T).
- Prime Minister congratulates Major Abhilasha Barak on being conferred the UN Military Gender Advocate of the Year Award-Major Barak is serving as an Engagement Team Commander and Gender Focal Point within the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).
- West Bengal Set to Become the 36th State/UT to Implement Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana-National Health Authority (NHA) and Government of West Bengal to Sign MoU Tomorrow for Implementation of Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY in West Bengal.
- Land Port Management System (LPMS):Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah to launch Land Port Management System (LPMS) on Tuesday, 9th June 2026 in New Delhi-LPMS is a state-of-the-art digital platform designed to integrate operations across Land Ports into a unified system.
- It enables secure, real-time exchange of logistics and regulatory information, bringing land ports at par with digital systems operational at airports and seaports. As a neutral and open platform, LPMS will facilitate seamless coordination among various stakeholders, including government agencies and private operators, thereby reducing delays and enhancing operational efficiency.
- The system introduces end-to-end digital workflows for cargo and passenger processing, including slot booking, payments, tracking, and single-window clearances. Fully integrated with key national platforms such as ICEGATE, ULIP, and the motor vehicle ecosystem, LPMS will enable interoperable, efficient, and transparent border management.
- The Land Ports Authority of India (LPAI), a statutory body under the Department of Border Management, Ministry of Home Affairs, is responsible for developing and managing land ports to facilitate trade, connectivity, and regional cooperation

- South Korea: President Lee Jae Myung nominates Han Seong-sook as next Prime Minister-If approved by the National Assembly, Han would become the first female Prime Minister under the Lee administration and only the second woman to hold the post in South Korea’s history, after Han Myeong-sook, who served from 2006 to 2007.
- India-U.S. Army Talks: The 29th edition of the India-United States Army-to-Army Staff Talks concluded in Hawaii, focusing on deep bilateral military cooperation and joint operational tactics.

- India defeats Bangladesh and lifts SAFF Women’s Championship 2026 trophy for record sixth time:In the SAFF Women’s Championship 2026 final, India defeated the defending champions, Bangladesh, 3-1 to win the title for a record sixth time. The match was played in Madgaon, Goa, yesterday. After seven years, the Blue Tigresses have once again lifted the trophy.
